Our first demo after the summer break will feature a talented duo that has graced our stage earlier in the year. They're not new to the Fine Edge-ucation stage, but the name they're trading under is. Kirk (@fadeawayk__) and Dro (@drogotyoufaded__) from Blankspace Salon are back and operating under their newly minted moniker, 2Elevate (@2elevateworld).
Through 2Elevate, Dro and Kirk leverage their industry experience, acquired knowledge, and talent to raise the bar in the hair industry and help others refine their craft.
The landscape of the hair industry continues to evolve, and one of the latest evolutionary steps is the emergence (or perhaps resurgence) of non-institutional education. Hair schools still play a central role in the introduction to the industry and professional development, but for established barbers and hairstylists looking for further education, peer-led courses have become the norm. Youtube has been a useful platform for educators, but as website hosts have increase the user-friendliness of their platforms, educators have been able to increase their accessibility to current or potential students through their own websites. This demo that we're hosting will be held on Monday Sept 18th at 246 Keefer st. in Vancouver, beginning at 4 PM and wrapping before 8 PM. Both Dro and Kirk will be demonstrating the fundamentals of the advanced fade haircut and covering topics like head anatomy, line theory, and length transitions.
